The Dream Scholarship Art Show
Artist Lauren Luna knew from personal experience the disproportionate rate that students of color were entering into a higher academic setting, and exponentially less, into creative paths of study. In 2000, she was the first black female bachelor of Fine Art graduate from her alma mater in more than a decade. Now as an established artist, she felt the need to help the next generations achieve their dreams to be artists.
In 2018, collaborating with talented industry professionals, Lauren Luna organized, The Dream Scholarship Art Show; which awarded a worthy recipient a scholarship. Now an annual event, The D.R.E.A.M. Affect Foundation's goal is to continue to send more deserving young artists of color to art school.
